For the Autumn Winter edition of our Cocktail Bust Off, we partnered with Johnnie Walker, challenging our teams to create a suitably seasonal cocktail.
Huge congratulations to our winner Ben from Cosy Club Oxford whose ‘Whisky Sunrise’ came out on top and has secured him a trip to Edinburgh.
This autumn saw us launch our biggest and most exciting update yet! Our Food Development Team have crafted dishes that will take our menu to the next level.
We spent three weeks hosting area training sessions with our GMs and HCs, giving our teams the chance to take a deep dive into our new dishes and learn how to bring our mouth-watering new menu to life. As part of the new launch, our staff food menu has also had a glow-up, giving our team more opportunity to try as many of the dishes as possible!

Our Learning and Development team have been hard at work creating Bitesize training modules for our teams. We currently have 9 topics ranging from Cash to Employee Relations with more currently being developed.
To launch this they have been out in the business delivering ‘train the trainer’ sessions to our Ops and Senior GMs getting them to think about different learning styles and what makes a good trainer.
We’re looking forward to seeing these being used across the business to develop and support our teams.
Some of our lucky Cosy Clubbers recently returned from a dream trip to Florence, Italy, thanks to our Birra Moretti incentive. They enjoyed pasta making, biking, and delicious food.

Our newest Cosy Club opened with a bang in Sheffield and we had a great night for the official opening party.
Our Cosy Club in Bournemouth has recently had a refurbishment and to celebrate this we hosted a re-opening party inviting VIPs from the local area.
Our team put on their best Cosy attire and were ready to give our guests the full Cosy treatment – great cocktails, small plates and main dishes and not forgetting the delicious desserts. All hosted in the stunning restaurant with the highlight being the top floor which is also our private dining area.
We love to offer our team big incentives here at the Cosy Club, including trips, hampers, nights out, theatre trips and many more.
One of our biggest incentives is the Cocktail Bust Off – our teams have the chance to design a cocktail, attend our internal competition and ultimately get their cocktail on the menu and win an all-expenses trip away.
The brief for the spring summer menu was to create a cocktail using Tanqueray gin, our team submitted their entries with the top 10 being invited to Cosy Club Nottingham to make their cocktails for the judges.
The top 3 were then invited to Diageo HQ in central London to battle it out with Elora from Cosy Club Derby coming on top with her gin and basil creation. After the competition, the team were then treated to dinner and drinks in Soho.

They enjoyed a delicious meal at one of London’s top steakhouses followed by an evening at a private Soho members’ club.
